ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½app

Jack Barr

Why did you choose CAAD at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½app?

I have always had an interest in building and designing things. After getting my associate's degree in drafting and design at Holmes Community College, it furthered my interest in construction and the design process. Mississippi State has always been part of my college plan, so whenever I found out about the Building Construction Science major, I knew that is where I would want to end up.

Favorite spot on campus?

My favorite spot on campus is probably Humphrey Coliseum. Basketball is my favorite sport, and it is always fun and relaxing for me to go watch the team play. It is also a good break from homework and studying. Also, there is just something special about all of the students "packing the Hump" regardless of what they had going on before the games.

If you could go back and tell your high school self one thing, what would it be?

If I could go back and tell my high school self one thing, it would be to spend your time more wisely. Everyone struggles with the issue of not enough time, but there is always time for the things you care the most for. Figure out what is important to you and spend more time doing that.

These are a few of my favorite things...

I enjoy things such as basketball, reading, hanging out with friends, playing golf and going to football games on Saturdays.
