headshot of Angi Elsea BourgeoisAngi Elsea Bourgeois will be wearing an additional hat at Mississippi State come September. While continuing to serve as dean of the 蜜桃传媒app, she will add the role of interim dean of the Graduate School.

As the university moves forward with implementing its Transformational Plan, Executive Vice Provost in the Division of Academic Affairs Peter Ryan鈥檚 role in meeting the strategic plan鈥檚 goals has become substantially more important, so he requested to step down as dean of the Graduate School to allow him to focus on these responsibilities.

鈥淚t is an honor to be able to serve as the interim dean of the Graduate School.  I hope to use this opportunity to continue the good work that Dr. Ryan has done to elevate the vision of the graduate school and to serve our students and their academic programs at the graduate level,鈥 said Bourgeois. 鈥淚 am looking forward to working hand-in-hand with the excellent staff and partnering with our graduate coordinators, graduate faculty and administration to define the next steps for the Graduate School. Our students are at the heart of all that we do, and I am pleased to be able to be a part of the efforts to serve them in a new capacity.鈥

As interim dean, Bourgeois will assist Provost and Executive Vice President David Shaw in assessing the needs of the Graduate School to determine its future organizational structure.
