Mississippi State interior design student receives scholarship from international design association

Junior Mississippi State interior design major Sydney J. MacMann of Diamondhead recently received a scholarship from the , which has a mission to inspire collaboration within the furnishings and design industry to support its people, their products and services.

To be considered for the $1,500 IFDA Leaders Commemorative Scholarship, MacMann submitted two essays describing her activities and interests and reason for choosing to major in interior design along with a resume and two samples of her work.

MacMann is a member of Phi Mu Fraternity, the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the Collegiate Society of Interior Designers at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½app. Upon graduation, she plans to start a career in the commercial or healthcare design industry and she hopes to make a true difference in people’s lives through design.

Accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation and National Association of Schools of Art and Design, ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½app’s interior design program is part of the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½app. Its curriculum provides a broad background in interior elements, materials, sources and practical experiences.
