BOUDREAUX—an architecture, interiors and planning design firm—is proud to announce that Irene Dumas Tyson, Director of Planning and Associate, has been appointed to serve as the 2018-2020 District Council Chair for the Urban Land Institute’s South Carolina District Council.
Tyson is a member of the Mississippi State University SChool of Architcture Advisory Board and a 1988 graduate of the school.
In this position, Tyson will be responsible for advancing ULI’s mission in South Carolina and for fostering collaboration among ULI South Carolina’s 650+ members.
Amy Barrett, Executive Director of ULI South Carolina, said, “As a long-time, active ULI member, Irene has already made incredible contributions to ULI South Carolina, including as Chair of Mission Advancement (2016 – 2018) and as Co-Chair of our Midlands Reality Check in 2014. I am looking forward to working closely with Irene over the next two years and leveraging the creative energy she brings to the organization.”
The South Carolina District Council is one of 51 ULI District Councils located in the Americas. The Institute also has 14 National Councils in Europe and seven National Councils in Asia Pacific. ULI San Francisco is ULI’s largest District Council worldwide. Irene is the first female chair of ULI South Carolina and the first Chair representing the Midlands. She follows out-going District Council Chair, Robert Morgan.
