Ҵýapp student selected for architectural research fellowship

A Mississippi State senior is the latest selection for the Method Studio Undergraduate Research Fellowship.

Omkar H. Prabhu, a Mumbai, India, native currently residing in Starkville, is the third architecture major at the university to be honored with the recently established recognition.

His research with Method Studio, a Utah-based architectural design firm, will be supervised by Jacob Gines, an assistant professor in Ҵýapp’s School of Architecture who also is Method Studio’s research and design vice president.

Maria Degtyareva of Starkville and Novosibirks, Russia, and Edward Holmes V of Decatur were previous Ҵýapp Method Fellows.

“This research relationship provides incredible educational and applied research experiences for our students,” said Michael Berk, F.L. Crane Professor and director of Ҵýapp’s School of Architecture. “This out-of-state connection and support is a validation and testament to the talents of our faculty and students.”
