Tell us a little about what you do in your role at Robins & Morton

As an assistant project manager, I plan, direct and coordinate construction activities to complete project objectives within the specified time frame. Some examples include contract management, budget management, material procurement, and more. I work closely with our clients, business partners and other members of the Robins & Morton team to deliver exceptional work.

Why did your company join our advisory board?

Robins & Morton encourages its team members to engage with and develop young professionals. Serving on the Building Construction Science Advisory Board allows me to share real-time advancements within the construction industry and network with the next generation of construction professionals. Mississippi State has an impressive Building Construction Science department, and it’s a privilege to be a part of guiding its future.

What piece of advice do you have for students?

Never miss out on an opportunity to learn. You are in a place saturated with knowledge of professors and your peers. No matter the situation or project, always push to learn more. Take the next step in college and internships to go the extra mile and learn more than what is needed. Ensure that you understand everything and can apply it to what you will be doing. When you get into your professional career, learning opportunities are immense and starting now will just help you achieve more later.
